Ex-S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens will be immortalised as a nine-inch tall plasticine character for new BBC animated comedy Glendogie Bogey.

The singer, 29, will voice character Patricia Ravelston, one of a group of pals hunting a monster said to live in caves under a golf course.

Rachel said: “How many people can say they have a mini-version of themselves Good job I’m not there as I’d be digitally enhancing my body parts.”

Rachel is teaming up with Taggart star Alex Norton and Peter Capaldi from The Thick Of It in Glendogie Bogey.

They play romantic rivals fighting over her character who is abducted by a mysterious monster.

She added: “I’ve never done animation before so I jumped at the chance. I thought it would be a challenge. My character is a total dizzy Dora.” The show’s being made by BBC Scotland and will be shown in the spring.
