Ex-S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens will be immortalised as a nine-inch tall plasticine character for new BBC animated comedy Glendogie Bogey.

The singer, 29, will voice character Patricia Ravelston, one of a group of pals hunting a monster said to live in caves under a golf course.

Rachel said: “How many people can say they have a mini-version of themselves Good job I’m not there as I’d be digitally enhancing my body parts.”

Rachel is teaming up with Taggart star Alex Norton and Peter Capaldi from The Thick Of It in Glendogie Bogey.

They play romantic rivals fighting over her character who is abducted by a mysterious monster.

She added: “I’ve never done animation before so I jumped at the chance. I thought it would be a challenge. My character is a total dizzy Dora.” The show’s being made by BBC Scotland and will be shown in the spring.

Primeval stars Hannah Spearritt and Andrew Lee-Potts are so inseparable that they have been christened “Handrew” by the rest of the cast.

The couple moved in together earlier this year after meeting on the set of the ITV1 dinosaur drama.

An insider told the Daily Mirror: “They’re inseparable. Even when Andrew does scenes on a skateboard Hannah jumps on it to cuddle between takes.”

Spearritt was a member of pop band S Club 7 before landing the role of reptile enthusiast Abby Maitland.

Singer-turned-aspiring actress Rachel Stevens may have fallen in love with Los Angeles but Britain, she says, will always be her favourite place.

The London-born former S Club 7 singer, 29, spends a lot of time in Hollywood but is back in Blighty for the time being.

“London will always be my home,” says Rachel, who has a house in Hampstead. “At the moment I’ve got lots of acting projects lined up. I’ve no intention of giving up on the singing but I’m fired up about working in film at the moment.

“I’d love to do drama but I’m particularly interested in doing a comedy,” she adds.

“I think now that I’ve had my solo career and am nearly 30, people appreciate that I have a more grown-up image.”

FHM: Rachel Needs a Squeeze

It’s hard to believe that gorgeous Rachel Stevens has yet to find love in Los Angeles. But judging by these sizzling pictures it will not be long before the ex-S Club singer finds a new squeeze and can stop hugging trees.

During a bikini photoshoot in California, Rachel, 29, told the September issue of FHM magazine she had been single for 18 months. She said: “You look for someone funny, or with a glint of mischief in their eyes.” Ironically, Rachel wished Sweet Dreams My LA Ex in her 2003 hit.

And many of her fans would like to see More, More, More shots like these:

Rachel Stevens’ Cameron crush

Posted in S Club News on Monday, July 30th, 2007

The former S Club 7 singer shares the same Los Angeles gym as the ‘Shrek the Third’ actress and admits she can’t take her eyes off her.

Rachel told FHM magazine: “I share my gym with Cameron Diaz. Cool, eh?

“She was on the running machine last week, telling me she’d been on some girlie holiday with Drew Barrymore.

“Her body is amazing - so tall and slim. A real hot surfer chick. I couldn’t stop looking at her.”

The 29-year-old brunette also revealed that while she wishes she could quit smoking - she loves puffing cigarettes in Los Angeles because she enjoys annoying everyone.

Rachel confessed: “I really need to stop, but there’s something even more satisfying about smoking in Los Angeles.

“It’s banned everywhere, and people really get annoyed when you do it near them. Even the guys.”

Rachel can’t keep her hands off her new man

Budding actress Rachel Stevens is clearly enjoying a fine romance with new love actor Alex Leigh, as the pair displayed their affection in public for all to see. It’s a sight that will come as a shot through the heart of many a man as former S Club 7 singer Rachel passionately kissed her new love in a north London cafe.

The former teeny bopping singer, long a favourite of men’s magazines FHM and Loaded, was seen in a passionate clinch at the cafe near her Hampstead home.

Rachel, who recently returned to UK following a long stay in Los Angeles, where she was linked with Hollywood hunk Stephen Dorff, is seemingly in the grip of the first flush of love, as she and Leigh, 30, unselfconciously kissed and canoodled in front of an appreciative audience.

The young couple seem very keen to publicly declare their affection - some might say lust - for one another.

One could speculate that it may be linked to the fact that the acting career Rachel’s been hoping for, has yet to materialise - and the singing career is clearly well and truly over.

New boyfriend Leigh’s acting career is none too prolific, with a bit part in axed soap Family Affairs in 2005, and a role as a waiter in 2001.

Cynicism aside, the budding actress, who broke off her engagement with former Holby City actor Jeremy Edwards in 2004 is clearly enjoying a fine romance with her new amour.

But like any other couple they have their ups and downs too. A source told Daily Mail online the couple had a blazing row in the middle of a west London street recently, which was so heated, they didn’t notice when his car almost ran them over!

Anyway, all seems forgotten and the couple have obviously kissed and made-up.
