Posted in S Club News on Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Former S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara has split from her boyfriend – just one month away from giving birth to her first child.

The shamed BB star is expecting a son with her ex, who she refuses to name.

Despite parting ways Jo, 28, hopes he’ll still play a part in the baby’s upbringing.

“I think I’ve made the right decision,” she says. “If you stay in something that won’t be happy, that’s not good for the baby.

“He’s going to be loved by both his parents and he’s not going to see us feuding.”

Tina BarrettAs one of S Club 7, Tina Barrett made four number one singles, one number one album and a slightly ropey film.

Since S Club 7’s split, Tina has managed to avoid a lot of the controversy that other S Clubbers have found themselves in - mainly by steering clear of making slightly racist comments on reality TV shows and Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London.

She currently lives in London and spends her time working on solo material and fending off the hamfisted romantic advances of hecklerspray.

We asked Tina Barrett the same questions we ask everyone else, and this is how she answered…

Jo sells her home

Posted in S Club News on Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Heavily pregnant Jo O’Meara – struggling financially since her disastrous Celebrity Big Brother appearance – has sold her country home.

The singer had put the four-bedroom property in leafy Noaks Hill, Essex, up for auction, but accepted an offer of £560,000.

Depressed after last year’s CBB found her caught up in a racism row, former S Club star Jo, 28, retreated to the house to work with rescued horses.

Estate agent Duncan Kaye said: “It was on the market for a few months. The owner wanted a quick sale.”

Primeval launches monster competition

Posted in S Club News on Monday, February 4th, 2008

Fans of hit ITV1 show Primeval are being given the chance to design their own monster for Hannah Spearritt and her team to tackle.

The competition, which is launched today and runs until April 7, will see the winning creature being brought to life when the show’s third series hits screens next year, reports the Daily Star.

Executive producer Tim Haines said: “By giving people the opportunity to design a monster for the third series we are creating a chance for them to be more involved and feel closer to the programme.”

Tim added that the cast and crew were all delighted with the success of the second series: “We are extremely proud of Primeval. Its popularity demonstrates that you can create ‘characters’ in CGI that audiences will respond to.”
